Gamified learning for
compliance training

This learning experience was proposed by me.

What is the problem statement?

Our competitors are rapidly gaining traction by offering gamified learning solutions that drive higher user motivation, engagement, attention, and healthy competition. Their offerings are not only effective but are also being delivered at greater speed and lower cost. Meanwhile, we face the challenge of operating within a framework of complex compliance and ethics regulations, which makes innovation and agility more difficult. The key question is:
How can we design and deliver competitive gamified learning experiences that align with regulatory requirements—without compromising on quality, speed, or cost-effectiveness?

What is the Minimum Viable Product (MVP)?

Leveraging my background in game design, I developed a low-fidelity prototype that combined principles of learning psychology with gamification to boost engagement and knowledge retention. I proposed two cost-effective, scalable solutions:

  1. Interactive Module Creation with Existing Design Resources
By utilizing our in-house UX and visual design teams, we could leverage tools like Figma and the Adobe Suite to create engaging, gamified learning experiences. These modules would include various interaction types and reward systems and could be hosted on our internal web platform—keeping costs low and timelines short.

  2. In-House Game Development with GoDot
For more immersive experiences, I suggested using GoDot, an open-source game engine known for its simplicity and low barrier to entry. Several of our designers were already familiar with the platform, allowing us to build games in-house using custom visuals and assets—eliminating the need for expensive external vendors.

What will be the Product Roadmap?

I have developed a roadmap which you can read here.

This involves mostly pre-production and production.

Outcome

We are planning to go ahead with this roadmap.
